About this date
The countdown targets 16 May 2027, the 10 Dhul-Hijjah 1448 date on the Umm al-Qura calendar. It is marked expected for a reason: Eid al-Adha 1448 follows the moon, not the algorithm. When the crescent is sighted a day early or late, the real date moves and this countdown will be a day off — that is the system working as intended, not an error.
