Bilal Ahmed
Bilal Ahmed is based in Pakistan and writes about the Islamic calendar for English-speaking Muslims. He keeps a Gregorian and a Hijri calendar on his desk — one for the world's appointments, one for the ones that matter: Ramadan, the Eids, Hajj. He has called his mother every year on the 1st of Ramadan since 2015, a date he finds on this site's converter, and still double-checks it against the moon-sighting announcement like everyone else.
He built this site out of frustration with converters that show one confident date and never say where it came from. Every tool here shows its working — the tabular and Umm al-Qura calendars side by side — because a date you can't question is a date you can't trust.
